What We Are

The Odyssey Foundation is resource for families, health care providers, educators, industry, and communities of Louisiana to combat childhood obesity, other childhood illnesses; and to assist families of children with autism spectrum disorders.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

What We Do

Disseminate information regarding local, state, and federal legislative issues effecting childhood wellness issues and individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families.

Sponsor local initiatives and activities that focus attention on childhood obesity, other childhood illnesses and individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families.

We network with other resource centers, school systems, local and state organizations that support child wellness and ASD issues.

Our Mission

To serve as a resource for residents of Louisiana in combating childhood obesity and other childhood illnesses; and assist families of children with autism spectrum disorders in Louisiana.

To build a network of support and a welcome place to connect with others through ongoing community outreach programs.

Our Vision

To be the central resource in Louisiana for people and organizations to gain access to tools, information, and support in dealing with childhood obesity, other childhood illnesses, and autism spectrum disorders.

Unite non-profit and for-benefit organizations, such as food companies,  educational institutions, physician practices, and individuals, combining their  contributions, creating "the full package", allowing communities to have the resources necessary for healthy kids.

Our Goals

Eliminate childhood obesity and inspire all young people in Louisiana to develop lifelong, healthy habits.

Create a self-sustaining organization capable of providing more resources each year for ASD children and their families.
 
Positively affect the places that can make a difference to a child's health:  homes, schools, restaurants, doctor's offices, and the community.
